Une fois n’est pas coutume, un peu de musique car une excellente nouvelle vient de tomber: Michael Gira vient d’annoncer via son label Young God Records qu’il réactive le projet SWANS, plus de 10 ans après l’avoir considéré « abouti », en décrétant la mort la avec les albums Soundtracks for the blind (1996) et Swans are dead (1998, final tour). Depuis, Gira a fondé son propre label Young God Records, créé Angels Of Light, réalisé nombre d’albums solo, et s’est démontré un excellent dénicheur de talents (Devendra Banhart et Akron/Family, entre autres).
Gira annonce clairement que ce n’est pas une « réunion de vieux camarades » mais bel et bien le retour des SWANS. Une grande nouvelle.

Gira Reactivates Swans!

I have decided to focus my energy on Swans once again. I’m reactivating that project. A new album is in the works, and touring will follow in fall of 2010.
